On Saturday, May 11, 2024 the Most Reverend Francis Leo, Metropolitan Archbishop of Toronto, ordained five men to the priesthood.
Rev. Marko Bušić, Rev. Daniel Lee, Rev. Ryan Nigli, Rev. Szymon Sorbian and Rev. Jeremy Zou received the Sacrament of Holy Orders during the Mass of Ordination that took place at St. Michael’s Cathedral Basilica.
On June 26th, the newly ordained priests will begin their parish assignments:
►Fr. Bušić will serve as Associate Pastor at Prince of Peace Parish, in Scarborough.
►Fr. Lee will serve as Associate Pastor at St. Bernadette’s Parish, in Ajax.
►Fr. Nigli will serve as Associate Pastor at St. Justin Martyr Parish, in Unionville.
►Fr. Sorbian will serve as Associate Pastor at St. Patrick’s Parish, in Markham.
►Fr. Zou will serve as Associate Pastor at St. Barnabas Parish, in Scarborough.
In his homily, Archbishop Leo spoke about the significance of the occasion saying that, “the ordination of five new priests to service to the Lord… is a grace, it is a gift, one that we need to welcome with humility and gratitude. It is a most touching and profound Sacrament: Holy Orders in the midst of Holy Mass.”
