EASTER

Pastor’s Easter Message

Przesłane : Apr-08-2023

DEAR PARISHIONERS:  Easter is Christianity’s greatest feast.  St. Paul’s writes; “If Christ has not been raised, our preaching is useless and so is your faith.”  (1 Corinthians, 15:14).
Its greatness does not lie in the event alone but in its significance and impact on the whole of creation.  We have been redeemed from the claws of the darkness of sin and became victorious with Christ’s triumph over death and sin. Light has overcome darkness and hope fills the earth.  As Easter people, we are called to witness to the power of Light and Life. Like Christ, our words and actions must shine forth to lead others to Him.  Our liturgical celebrations during Holy Week are meant to be spiritually nourishing.

I would like to express my heartfelt thanks to our parish ministries for their sincere dedication and hard work which tell us a lot about their love for the Lord and our community.  Special thanks to our parish secretary, parish finance committee, caretaker, sacristans and the countless volunteers, especially the decorating committee who helped us make our Holy Week celebration meaningful and spiritually uplifting.  Special mention to our music ministry, youth group and Il Gruppo della Divina Misericordia for holding Adoration, sacramental coordinators, ushers, alter servers, lectors, eucharistic ministers, counters, and to everyone who made a donation for Easter flowers.

As your Pastor, I am very blessed to work with all of you, the best volunteers!  I thank God every day for all of you and our wonderful, loving, and supportive parishioners.  We are God’s gift to one another and to our community.  HAPPY EASTER!  JESUS IS RISEN, ALLELUIA, ALLELUIA.
